The blind itself is sealed inside the cavity.* ## Three problems, one assembly A room that must be bright all day and confidential part of the day usually ends up with a blind, a film or a solid wall. This assembly does all three jobs in one frame. *Daylight* ### Daylight you can set The blind is adjusted from inside the room. Fully open, the partition reads almost as clear glass; half closed, it takes glare off a screen without darkening the space. *Privacy* ### Privacy on demand With the slats closed, the room is screened completely from the corridor or the open office. Nothing has to be added to the glass or taken down afterwards. *Acoustics* ### Two panes against noise Two panes with a cavity between them break up sound on its way from one room to the next, so a meeting is separated from the desks outside. ## Series that take integrated blinds The blind assembly fits three series. Manual blinds run on magnetic control or a pull cord; a motorised blind needs a power supply at the frame. - **Glass** - 5 + 5 mm toughened glass as standard on M-100, with an insulating glass unit available where the project asks for it. Toughened glass to GB 15763.2-2005. - **Frame finish** - Powder coated, in sand white, black or a project colour. ## Which series for which room - **Meeting and discussion rooms** - Closed for a confidential discussion, opened again for a bright room. Usually M-60 or M-V84 in double glazing. - **Finance offices** - Quiet and screened for most of the day - the same assembly, with the blind closed for longer. - **Manager and director offices** - Daylight and privacy in one partition, without a separate blind or film. - **Large rooms and long runs** - M-100, where a partition runs tall or wide and the frame has to stay true. Send the floor plan with the use of each room and we will set out the series and glazing for each elevation. ## Cleaning and maintenance - **The blind** - It sits behind sealed glass, so it does not collect dust and is not cleaned. - **The glass** - Only the two outer faces are cleaned, as with any glass partition. - **The operator** - The control, cord or motor is the only moving part; it is checked at handover and covered by the ordinary maintenance routine. ## Test data behind the system Acoustic performance is the number most often written into a specification. Here is the measured figure. Our aluminium profiles were tested to the GB/T 5237 series, all 19 items conforming, with a measured tensile strength of 230 N/mm2 (report no. CS925706226AQ947Z). Both report numbers are published on the [certificates page](https://en.mijiaeg.com/certificates.html). Sound reduction in service depends on the glass build-up, the cavity width, the partition height and how the frame is sealed at floor, ceiling and adjacent walls.
